About Me

Although I have aspirations to compete at the top levels of my sport, in my core I am a horseperson first and a competitor second.  I believe that horses should come at the forefront of our sport in every way and that as a rider it is my responsibility to do my very best to understand my horse, and to work with him to develop and strengthen our partnership however possible.

The Beginning

Horses have been a fundamental part of my life since before I could walk.  Unlike many eventers, I didn't begin riding with dressage or show jumping.  Instead, I learned a holistic approach to horsemanship, experiencing a wide variety of disciplines from Western Pleasure and barrels to polo and foxhunting.

Early Career

My eventing career started in 2013 on a homebred Oldenburg gelding named July's Wild Idea ("Julian").  Julian was the first horse I broke to ride, and he was the first to take me around a cross-country course.  in 2015, he came with me to the University of Florida, where alongside my studies I trained with Canadian Olympian, Kyle Carter.

Julian surpassed expectations and continued being competitive through the CCI3* level, and is now living out his retirement as my mom's dressage mount.

Training

Throughout University and beyond, I have had the privilege of training with some of the most accomplished riders in the world.  From WEG silver medalists Dorothy Crowell and Kyle Carter to 7-time Olympian Karin Donckers, I have built my knowledge from a varied, international base.

In 2021, I had the opportunity to move, with my horse Cascor, to the south of Germany to train with 3-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Jung.  I spent a year and a half working for and learning from him - an invaluable experience that cemented my understanding of and love for the sport of eventing.

Now

In 2022, I competed for the first time at the CCI4* level with Dr. Kathleen Hanlon-Lundberg's horse, Cascor. We have since had a successful first year of competition at the level.

In the spring of 2023, I moved with my partner, Canadian 4* eventer Kyle Morton, to just south of Hamburg.  Here, we are based at the beautiful facility of Georgenhof - home of the highly successful "Butt's" line of horses.

Goals

I aim to represent my country, Norway, at the very highest levels of the sport.

After a successful first year of competition at the CCI4S level, I plan on solidifying Cascor and myself as a competitive pair at that level, before moving up to the CCI4L at the end of the season.

A qualifying result at the CCI4L level in 2024 will open up the possibility of competing a the 2025 European Championships, and eventually at the CCI5* level.

The ultimate goal is to be the first Event rider to compete for Norway at the Olympic Games.  I plan on making that happen in 2028, at the Los Angeles Games.
